MONCLER flagship store at Sands Plaza, Singapore

The project won the 2019 Design Award (Moncler Marina Bay by Curiosity: 2019 Best of Year Winner for Innovation). The design concept uses black marble to interpret the essence of Moncler’s classic rhombus down jacket.

How can a large, heavy stone create the effect of light, airy down feathers? The three-story pavement is made of nearly 200 pieces of Nero Marquina marble. You have to admire the craftsmen in Victory Stones Limited for using computer technology to make the impossible possible and perfectly realize the designer’s idea.

The carefully selected stones have the same texture. After cutting, profiling and polishing, each stone is formed into a precise arc under the control of a computer program, so that the light refracted on the 3D surface of the stone feels very consistent. In addition, the back of the stone will also be “hollowed out” to reduce the weight of the stone. The result is a highly recognizable brand logo that stands out.
